Now, let's tell you about our bits and cutters.

MANUFACTURING:
Our router bits and shaper cutters are made with only top quality C-2, which has been proven to be the best grade for cutting wood. Our shaper cutters are shaped and sharpened with diamond wheels as fine as 600 grit, and are suitable for almost every job. But, it is up to you to match the right cutter to the right job!

CARE:
Always be very careful when handling your router bits and shaper cutters. Carbide is extremely brittle and can be chipped easily especially if dropped. Do not set router bits and shaper cutters on hard surfaces. Protect them with a floor mat and bench pad. Neoprene anti-vibration pads are very helpful. Premature bit failure can be caused by a worn out collet. Less expensive collets found in less expensive router bits can cause bent shanks and big trouble. Always watch for wear and tear of the collet to prevent bit failure.

You know this is happening when:

  1. Collet starts to appear egg shaped
  2. Bits start to slip or spin-out when cutting
  3. Twists
  4. Nicks or burrs on the bit shank
  5. Vibration and chatter marks.

Remember to keep your router bits in good condition.

USAGE:
To increase the longevity of your router bits and shaper cutters, always:

  1. Use quality, clean materials
  2. Avoid heat build-up caused by an improper feed rate. Feeding too slowly can result in burned out or worn out router bits.
  3. Keep work secured properly to avoid movement.
  4. Cut at an even and steady rate.
